Rinus van Alebeek (1956, Heerlen, The Netherlands) is a writer who uses his (environmental) recordings on tape to narrate a story. During the nineties he published two books (pseud. Philip Markus) in his native country. The first novel (De Weg naar Oude God) won the prestigious Geert Jan Lubberhuizen Prijs, a yearly award for the best first novel.
An accidental encounter with electronic and avant garde music in the year 2000 at the Lem festival in Barcelona, and an introduction to the cassette culture gave way to his further artistic development.
In the first decade of this century van Alebeek made a thorough research on how to make or manipulate recordings. Thanks to a great number of concerts, sometimes an average of ten in a month, he developed an approach of which people say it is ‘ between noise and pure poetry.’

Since 2001 co-curator of the label H.A.K. Lo-Fi Record with Ayato and others french artists.

Bassist, Anton turns very quickly in hijacking his instrument to finally only use microphones and objects for years. Now, Anton build his own instruments called "prepared chamber" and in which are ordered with microphones and objects and develops a personnal intuitive and energetic way to play with : improvisational percussion music, music concrète, free improvisation, minimalist noise, mouvement, peak of intensity and fragments of autonomous sounds freed from their context are so many elements which characterize Anton Mobin's performances.
Anton focuses another part of his work on tape manipulation and field recordings as the cassette narration tamdem "She Will Be Beautiful" associated with Rinus van Alebeek and also "Crash duo" a cassette accidental duo with Ayato. A new trio with Tünel called SCZRS is producing a vinyl album for H.A.K.
Recently record an album with the russian pionner of underground music Alexei Borisov and a forthcoming release with Chrs Galarreta.
Sounds have been physically edited or on-line published by 57 labels in 19 countries worldwide such as Staaltape, Emitter Micro, AMP-recs, Zos Kia Sounds, Stand Up Tragedy, H.A.K. Lo-Fi Record, Amorf Sounds, Framework edition, Haltapes...
His work has been played on several radio shows and sound festivals in France, Switzerland, Norway, Portugal, Germany, Belgium and the United States.
